To say the imperative, as in "eat <something>," one can say 食べて(たべて)[ta-beh-teh]. ご飯を食べて(ごはん・を・たべて)[eat a meal (imperative/command)]. We can say 食べる(たべる)[tah-behh-roo] for "to eat" or "will eat" and we can use 食べるの、食べること、or even 食べ as a thingified version of the verb "to eat," roughly, "an eating" or "a sit down and chow" similar to how we can say in English "enjoy your drive" or "enjoy your swim" this would be one way of using "eat" as a noun as in "enjoy your eat."
